________________________________________________________________________________ Meet entry files and Instructions for submitting entries
For
several years we have been using an electronic entry method for
submitting entries to county competitions, and this has worked very
well. For the 2010 Age Groups/County Championships we shall be using the Sportsystems software that was trialled for the 2009 Autumn Graded Series. The two most significant developments are the linking of Sportsystems to the ASA membership database
and also to the rankings database using the internet and via the use of Sportsystems Entry Manager 2.0. This makes the work of preparing entries at a club level much easier and less prone
to typographical errors.
Link to Sportsystems website - to download Entry Manager 2.0 - must be done before the Entry File is downloaded. (Note also the Documentation tab on the left hand side of the Sportsystems home page where there is additional help/assistance.)
1. The start times of the morning sessions have all been brought forward (to allow more time for preparation of paperwork and to allow a longer warm up)
Kendal and Copeland warm up will commence at 9.00am and last for 60 minutes
Carlisle warm up will commence at 9.15am and last for 45 minutes
2. The afternoon warm up at Kendal and Copeland will nominally start at 2.15pm and last for 60 minutes (although this will depend upon the finishing time of the morning sessions)
3. The 800m and 1500m events will be single sex and will have restricted entry (to try to prevent time overrun)
4. Bagcat awards will be on the basis of FINA points
